How iWave Works

iWave is an air ionization system that utilizes needlepoint bi-polar ionization to create equal amounts of positive and negative ions. iWave installs in the functions with any air conditioning or heating system. When air passes over the iWave, ions produced by the device reduce certain bacteria ad viruses particles, smoke and odors in the air. When the ions are injected into the airstream, they also reduce certain VOCs, pollutants, and airborne gases.

Ions reduce certain bacteria and viruses

As the iWave emits both positive and negative ions into the airstream, they will reduce certain viruses and bacteria. Contact with ions has microbicidal effects on certain viruses and bacteria, which ultimately disrupt their surface proteins and render them inactive.

Ions reduce VOCs and airborne particulate

The ions emitted from the iWave ionization system also attached to the particles like dust and dander, causing them to band together until they are large enough to be caught by your ventilation system’s air filter.

Nature’s Technology

iWave’s technology generates the same icons that nature creates with lighting, waterfalls, and ocean waves, etc. Nature uses energy to break apart molecules, naturally cleaning the air and producing a healthy environment. Pathogen Test Results

All test were run using proprietary NPBI™ technology.

This test was run using the iWave-C Air Purifier P/N 4900-10 in a test designed to mimic ionization conditions like that of a commercial aircraft’s fuselage.

Based on a viral titrations, it was determined that at 10 minutes, 84.2% of the virus was inactivated. At 15 minutes, 92.6% of the virus was inactivated, and at 30 minutes, 99.4% of the virus was inactivated.

This test was run in a test chamber in a lab setting with the Nu-Calgon iWave-R Air Purifier P/N 4900-20.

A petri dish containing a pathogen is placed underneath a laboratory hood, then monitored to assess the pathogen’s reactivity to Needle Point Bi-polar Ionization (NPBI over time. This controlled environment allows for comparison across different types of pathogens.

iWave’s Needle Point Bi-polar Ionization (NPBI) technology is used in a wide range of applications across diverse environmental conditions. Since locations will vary, clients should evaluate their individual application and environmental conditions when making an assessment regarding the technology’s potential benefits.
Please note that testing the reduction rate of SARS-Cov-2 and Human Coronavirus 229E with the iWave NPBI product is an evolving process and additional testing is anticipated to be conducted in the future. iWave products are not marketed as, nor cleared, by the FDA as a medical device.
